Because of you, every student now has access to a reliable tool that supports deeper learning, builds confidence, and allows them to fully engage in mathematics each day.\r\n\r\nCalculators in the classroom serve a very specific and powerful purpose. These calculators are not replacing thinking—they are strengthening it. They allow students to focus on understanding concepts like proportions, linear equations, statistics, and problem-solving strategies without becoming discouraged by lengthy computations. Instead of getting stuck on arithmetic, they can analyze patterns, test conjectures, and check their reasoning independently. This builds both accuracy and mathematical confidence.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is having their own calculator at their fingertips. There is something empowering about being equipped with the right tool. I have watched students light up when they successfully verify an answer on their own. They feel more capable and more willing to attempt challenging problems. The calculators also allow us to explore real-world applications—working with larger numbers, data sets, and multi-step problems that feel meaningful and relevant.\r\n\r\nThere are particular students who have especially warmed to this new technology. Some of my students who struggle with math anxiety now approach problems with greater courage because they know they have support. Others who are naturally curious love experimenting—changing numbers in an equation to see how results shift and making discoveries on their own. One student recently told me, \"I feel like I can finally keep up.\" That simple statement is a direct result of your kindness.\r\n\r\nYour support has done more than provide a classroom supply—it has opened doors to confidence, curiosity, and growth. As a middle school math teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing students believe in themselves, and your generosity is a big part of that transformation.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for investing in our students and their futures.","fullyFundedDate":1761755089559,"projectUrl":"project/financial-literacy-gains-focus-in-middle/9686422/","projectTitle":"Financial Literacy Gains Focus in Middle School","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Close","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7481983_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1665391219307","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7481983"},{"teacherId":254828,"projectId":9870079,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating supplies to help our science class build roller coasters. Your generosity made a hands-on project possible that brough our lessons to life. Because of your support, students were able to move beyond the textbook and engage directly with the concepts we were studying. They experimented with potential and kinetic energy, momentum, friction, and the importance of careful measurement and engineering skills\r\n\r\nWatching groups of students excitedly compare designs and adjust their tracks after each trial showed me how powerful real-world learning can be for deepening understanding. Your gift created opportunities for students who might not otherwise have access to these materials. It also gave them the chance to take risks, troubleshoot, and learn from mistakes. The hands-on nature of this activity helped students translate abstract ideas in real 3-D models. They were able to see how their design choices affected outcomes immediately. \r\n\r\nThis project also encouraged collaboration and communication skills. Students worked in team to sketch designs, delegate responsibilities, test their construction, and record results. They practiced explaining their reasoning, defending their design choices, and giving constructive feedback. Creativity flourished as well - some groups incorporated themes into their roller coasters! The \"fun\" element cannot be overstated. We definitely had increased engagement, attendance, and the willingness to find solutions.\r\n\r\nYour generosity reminded me why I love teaching - seeing students' faces light up when a design finally worked and hearing the laughter and celebration following a successful run.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this roller coaster project possible and for helping create an engaging, memorable, and educational experience for our class!","fullyFundedDate":1762366840369,"projectUrl":"project/building-thrills-with-paper-rollercoaste/9870079/","projectTitle":"Building Thrills With Paper Rollercoasters","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shannon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp254828_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1471895913323","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/254828"},{"teacherId":7481983,"projectId":9128818,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing snacks for our students during testing days!
