Each student who needs this sensory support has their own individual set, labeled with their name, allowing them to carry and use them throughout the school day and during transitions. Having this consistent, personal tool helps students feel more comfortable, independent, and prepared to navigate challenging environments.\r\n\r\nFor some students, the bus can be overwhelming due to excessive noise. Others experience overstimulation in the cafeteria, where the headphones allow them to remain with their peers and participate in lunch rather than needing to leave. Students have also used their headphones during music class. While they love music, the volume and variety of sounds can sometimes be overwhelming, and the headphones provide the extra pressure and muffled sound they need to regulate while continuing to participate.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided much more than headphones. You have given our students greater opportunities for inclusion, comfort, independence, and success.
