They couldn't believe they didn't have to continue to wear the old vests that were torn and truly worn out. The old vests were of a mesh material and the Velcro straps didn't close well. The new vests either have a zipper (which they loved) or two sets of Velcro straps that help the vests stay in place. The new vests are made of a highly reflective material that is durable and functional. \r\n\r\nThe students are thrilled to wear their new vests. One student said to me, \"they are so bright, they are fluorescent\". I told her that this will help them stand out when they are helping the students out of their cars in the early morning. In second and third grade, students used Sharpies to design zentangle-pattern pumpkins, while our fifth graders created shattered pumpkin–themed artworks. Because of you, my students now have essential supplies that not only help them learn but also make learning more engaging, organized, and joyful every day. Your donations of Expo markers, whiteboards, whiteboard posters, rainbow sleeves, and pencils have made a meaningful and visible difference in our classroom, and I want you to know just how impactful your kindness has been.\r\nSince receiving your donations, our classroom has become a more interactive and collaborative learning space. The whiteboards and Expo markers have transformed the way my students practice new skills. Instead of simply sitting and listening, they are now able to write, solve problems, and share their thinking in real time. During math lessons, students use their whiteboards to show their problem-solving steps, explain their reasoning, and practice new concepts without the fear of making permanent mistakes. They've become more confident because they can try, erase, and try again. This has been especially helpful for students who sometimes feel hesitant to participate—it's given them a safe and fun way to join in.\r\nThe whiteboard posters have been a wonderful addition as well. They allow me to create interactive anchor charts and reusable learning stations around the room. Students can write directly on them during small group activities, review sessions, and center time. This hands-on approach has helped bring lessons to life and keeps students actively involved rather than passively observing.\r\nYour donation of rainbow sleeves has also made a difference in our classroom organization. They help keep student work protected and organized while adding a fun pop of color that brightens up the room. The colors help my students stay organized and excited about their work, and the visual appeal makes our classroom a more welcoming and positive environment.\r\nThe pencils you provided might seem like a small thing, but they are incredibly important. Every day, students need reliable tools to write, think, and express themselves. Not every child is able to come to school with supplies, and because of you, I never have to worry about a student going without. This means every child can participate fully in lessons, complete their assignments, and feel prepared to learn.\r\nBeyond the supplies themselves, your support sends a powerful message to my students—that there are people in the community who believe in them and care about their education. It shows them that their learning matters, and that encouragement means more than words. Your kindness has boosted their confidence, their motivation, and their excitement for coming to school each day.\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for investing in my students' success. It's amazing how a small snack can make such a big impact—helping my students stay alert, focused, and ready to learn. One of our favorite activities has been our \"Build a Word Challenge,\" where students use the tiles to sound out and create new words. During our first lesson with the materials, several students cheered and clapped when they found their names or sight words they recognized—it was such a joyful moment.\r\nThese resources have made learning phonics much more hands-on and interactive, allowing my students to practice blending sounds and recognizing patterns in a way that feels like play. I've already noticed a boost in their confidence and enthusiasm during reading time.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these materials to explore word families and rhyming patterns.
