Books can be used in every subject. My goal as a teacher is to get students to engage fully in all subject areas. One of the ways I do this is to pair inviting literature with math lessons to draw students in. The books I have selected align with our curriculum and with specific lessons. These fun and on-topic texts invite students to interact with our math lessons and help to make learning these concepts much more fun. In addition, my enthusiasm for these books helps to further encourage my students to grasp these central concepts, as well as further promote literacy throughout the school day. Students will also have the opportunity to independently read these texts in the classroom library. "The world is full of magical places, and the library has always been one of them for me. A library can be that special place for our children." -Julie Andrews
