What Your Gift Did: \r\nBuilt our indoor hydroponic growing systems.\r\nFunded fresh lettuce and salad vegetables for science study.\r\nProvided herbs to be used by our culinary classes.\r\nTaught high schoolers about sustainable food production.\r\nWe turned a challenge into a in-the-moment learning opportunity when we suffered a sudden power loss that destroyed our crops. Science students analyzed the system failure firsthand. Culinary students learned about supply chain resilience. Having enough properly fitted helmets for every player has allowed all students to participate fully and safely at the same time. One especially memorable moment was our first complete batting practice after the donation arrived—every student stepped into the batter's box with confidence and excitement. For many of them, this was the first time they felt truly equipped like a complete, official team, and it made a powerful difference in their focus and performance.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the helmets, their reactions said it all.
