Students historically struggled with understanding how 3D shapes became nets, and in turn, struggled to come up with a correct surface area from the shape. \r\nThis year's group of students gained significantly more proficiency with 3D shapes and nets, calculating volume and surface area. They also calculated the percent of paper waste when packaging with a net vs. a rectangle.
