I can incorporate visuals, repetition, vocabulary, and developmentally appropriate content into books that align directly with our classroom instruction and each child's learning goals.\r\n\r\nHaving access to these specialized books has increased student engagement and provided my students with more opportunities to interact with meaningful, accessible print. The books can be used repeatedly during whole-group instruction, small-group activities, independent practice, and at home, allowing students to revisit important concepts and build confidence through repetition. The durable binding also allows students to handle and explore the books independently without the materials quickly becoming damaged.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this donation has helped remove barriers to learning by allowing me to create materials that reflect how my Deaf and Hard of Hearing students learn best. Instead of relying solely on commercially available materials that may not fully meet their needs, I can create resources that are personalized, accessible, and directly connected to their instruction. This has supported vocabulary development, language growth, comprehension, early literacy skills, and overall participation in the classroom.
