My students are using this novel to identify character traits along with analyzing how characters change and adapt throughout the story. Throughout this novel, they have also been able to identify figurative language, use strategies to understand new vocabulary words, and identify cause and effect relationships. Your donation has helped to foster my students' love of reading while providing lots of laughter and fun with these entertaining novels. They have been online to research your upcoming books and informed me that there will be FIVE !!! That's astounding! Also, possibly a movie ? That will have to be a field trip in the coming years for sure. \r\n The impact your novel has made on my students is nothing short of miraculous. Some of them are not avid readers , and this novel got them excited to read!! As a follow-up activity, students had to complete two activities on a Project Choice Board. They compared/contrasted characters, retold the story on a storyboard , wrote letters to a character, and wrote a possible epilogue. They thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing novel you created.
