By donating to our project, you will be helping 3rd graders increase focus and productivity. Students will feel empowered by having choices and control over their environment, increasing academic achievement. Giving students choices in seating within the classroom allows for higher order thinking skills, better behavior, and will boost performance. Comfortable students are engaged students. Flexible seating also allows for easier collaboration to work in small groups. This environment will allow for more creativity, communication, and critical thinking. When kids are sitting in rows of desks all day it can be uncomfortable and stressful. It is clear that learning environments can have a direct impact on student achievement. When students have a sense of ownership in choosing their seat, they are more invested in their learning.
