One special moment was watching my students explore the materials for the first time. They were immediately curious and excited to touch, squeeze, manipulate, and investigate everything. Their smiles, excitement, and willingness to explore showed just how valuable these resources are in helping them learn through their senses.\r\n\r\nThe materials have become an important part of our classroom because they allow students to practice skills such as fine-motor development, communication, problem-solving, attention, and self-regulation while having fun. It has been wonderful to see students who may learn differently become more engaged and confident when they have hands-on materials they can interact with.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue incorporating the sensory materials into our current lessons and expanding the ways students can use them to explore new concepts. We will continue encouraging students to make choices, communicate their ideas, work independently or with classmates, and use their senses as they learn.
