My students love having the seat pockets to keep their materials organized and in one place. The new dry erase markers and boards allows them to practice activities in the literacy and math domains such as sight words, math facts and problems, and phonics. My students also use the magnetic letters for literacy practice. The magnetic dry erase marker holder allows me to keep my markers in one spot where I can quickly access them. I love the dry erase wipes. Because the eraser may leave ink residue on my large board and the students dry erase boards, the wipes definitely come in handy, making sure the boards are completely clean. The students and I also love the Power Pen and learning cards. They enjoy that they can independently work on different skills and get real time correction. When completing assignments on the iPad, the Apple pen allows my students to write neatly and to correctly choose items. The colored sand and trays along with the scratch and sketch paper helps with multi-sensory learning and is used during literacy instruction. Research has shown that multi-sensory learning enhances learning and retention. \r\n\r\nThe fidget toys and stress balls help my students when they need to exert energy but in a more manageable way. They also help my students with managing their emotions when they become overwhelmed or upset. The wobble cushion also helps with this and my students say that they are comfortable. When completing activities on tablets, the headphones help to block out distractions from other peers and outside noise as well as hear the instructions for the activities clearly. The magnetic hooks hold the students' headphones and other materials on my whiteboard such as my sound cards. The batteries power the power pens and other learning resources given to us.\r\n\r\nLastly, as a new special educator, I'm still learning the ropes as far as writing IEPs and other reports.
