Students used the glowing drum sticks as \"lightsabers\" while building important music skills through play and imagination. Our youngest musicians used them to practice keeping a steady beat, while older students used them to read and perform rhythms inspired by the iconic Star Wars themes. One of my favorite moments was watching students fully embrace the experience—pretending they were young Jedi in training while learning real musical concepts. Students have been diligently working on their assigned math lessons in the IXL app and growing their mathematical skills. Their growth has been reflected in their assessments and the mastery they show during independent work. \r\n\r\nYour contributions also allowed us to restock our supply of Expo dry erase markers, which are an everyday essential in our classroom!
