Because of your kindness, we now have access to a Kodak camera, a phone gimbal stabilizer, and a motorized drone. For my students, these are tools that will open exciting new ways to learn, create, and express themselves. My students are deeply interested in digital media, and many are already familiar with platforms like YouTube and content creation on their own devices. While they do a wonderful job keeping their phones away during the school day, they are eager to learn how media can be used responsibly and creatively, and your donation has made that exploration possible.\r\n\r\nThese tools allow us to turn moments like \"Fun Fridays\" or brief downtime into opportunities for learning. Students can plan, record, and reflect on short videos that highlight classroom projects, art, STEM builds, or storytelling, all while developing skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and digital citizenship. The gimbal stabilizer helps students create smooth, professional-looking footage, the camera allows us to document learning in high quality, and the drone gives students a chance to explore technology, engineering, and perspective in a hands-on and exciting way. Most importantly, it gives students a way to channel their interests into something meaningful and educational.\r\n\r\nOn a personal note, the camera has also allowed me to safely transfer and preserve years of photos from my phone onto a memory card, helping me protect cherished memories of family, friends, and important moments outside of school. That ability to preserve and reflect on memories, both personal and professional, has been incredibly meaningful to me. Thank you again for supporting not just tools, but creativity, learning, and connection.","fullyFundedDate":1757522690412,"projectUrl":"project/say-cheesewere-creating-content/9695882/","projectTitle":"Say Cheese...We're Creating Content!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Woods","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp119606_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661914300244","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/119606"},{"teacherId":119606,"projectId":9614687,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom snack project. While students do bring lunches to school, having snacks available gives them the quick pick me up they need to stay focused, regulated, and ready to learn. We also use these snacks during our after-school time before students head home, which helps them stay energized and engaged until the end of the day. With many of my students being selective eaters, having a variety of options on hand ensures that every child can find something that works for them.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided have truly been a hit. The clear favorites among the students were the Pirate's Booty popcorn and the Nutella breadsticks. I still remember one student lighting up with excitement when they saw that those were an option, and in that moment, I knew I had chosen well! The Izze sparkling drinks became part of our small celebrations for milestones like Student of the Month or improvements in effort and behavior, helping us mark those moments with joy and positivity.\r\n\r\nEven the adults benefited because the hydration packs gave us the boost we needed to continue supporting students with energy throughout the day. From Clorox wipes that help us maintain a clean, healthy learning environment to the reading translator that supports students as they develop literacy skills, including those with dyslexia. The tripod has allowed us to capture special learning moments and share them with families, helping strengthen the connection between home and school. Each of these items helps make our classroom more supportive and engaging for students. \r\n\r\nOur school is in a temporary swing space while our main building undergoes renovation, and there is constant movement between trailers and shared spaces throughout the day. Because of this, having Clorox wipes readily available has been especially important in helping prevent the spread of germs and keep our learning environment safe and healthy. The wipes allow us to quickly clean shared surfaces, desks, and materials so students can focus on learning in a space that is clean and protected. \r\n\r\nThe ink you provided has also made a tremendous difference, especially as we have recently launched two tutoring programs in reading and math.
