Our students certainly do not mind helping with that process, and each time we use the machine gives us another opportunity to create a fun memory together.\r\n\r\nThis school year is especially exciting because we have returned to our school building after being away during renovations. As we settle into our new spaces, we are looking forward to bringing the Ninja Slushi back out and using it for classroom celebrations, special accomplishments, and those moments when our students deserve a little something extra.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving us a resource that allows us to celebrate our students and create joyful experiences together. While we received new iPads from the district, the newer devices require Bluetooth headphones, and many of our students already have standard headphones that cannot be used with them. The iPad you provided gives us additional flexibility and helps ensure that technology does not become a barrier to students accessing the programs and activities they need.\r\n\r\nEven more exciting, your support, combined with the additional iPads we received this school year, means we are now almost halfway to having enough devices to create a small technology group during our literacy rotations! For my group of learners, this is a very big deal. It gives us the opportunity to work toward a rotation where some students can independently practice targeted reading skills using technology while I provide direct, small-group instruction to other students.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly thankful for your generosity and for helping us move closer to creating a classroom where students have greater access to technology. Having reliable access to ink has made such a difference in our classroom. Our shared printer at school may be unavailable because of a paper jam, toner issue, or other unexpected problem. Thanks to your generosity, I now have the flexibility to use our classroom printers or prepare and print materials from home ahead of time. This has helped reduce those last-minute printing challenges and allows me to focus more of my time and attention on instruction.\r\n\r\nThe color ink has been especially valuable for my students. We have been able to print colorful math materials that help students count and identify objects, create visual supports for instruction, and add posters and other resources to our classroom walls. For young learners, those colors and visuals can make materials more engaging and easier to understand.\r\n\r\nIt is amazing how something as simple as ink can have such an important impact on teaching and learning. The whistles and walkie-talkies were especially useful for my co-planner and me as we moved throughout the different Field Day activities. Being able to communicate with each other in real time helped us coordinate activities, respond quickly when we needed one another, and keep the day running smoothly. Although our students have not had an opportunity to use the vibration plate just yet, I know it will be another resource they will enjoy as we incorporate it into future movement and sensory activities.\r\n\r\nOnce again, Field Day exceeded our expectations! While students occasionally took advantage of the lawn chairs for a quick break, we were fortunate to have beautiful weather, and they were on the go for nearly the entire day.
