Building Our Stage: Using LEGOs to Design Theater Sets
Funded Aug 26, 2025Because of your generosity, our students are now one step closer to building their dreams, brick by brick!
Thanks to your support of our DonorsChoose project, “Building Our Stage: Using LEGOs to Design Theater Sets,” our young artists will now be able to use LEGOs to imagine, plan, and construct miniature stage designs that bring their stories to life. These tiny bricks are unlocking big creativity—and our students can’t wait to see their theatrical visions take shape!
This project isn’t just about LEGOs, it’s about:
Design thinking
Storytelling through set design
Collaboration and creativity
Confidence in their own ideas
Your gift reminds our students that their voices and visions matter. Thank you for investing in the arts, in imagination, and in the joyful mess of learning through play.
We can’t wait to share pictures and updates as our student designers bring their worlds to life. Until then, know that your kindness is helping us build a foundation—not just for a stage, but for a lifetime of creativity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Jenkins

Funded Jul 8, 2025I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project, “Puppets with Purpose: Bringing Stories to Life.” Thanks to your kindness, our students now have access to high-quality rod puppets that will help them explore storytelling, character development, and performance in dynamic and creative ways.
These puppets will open doors for students to express themselves, collaborate with their peers, and engage in hands-on learning that taps into their imaginations. Whether they are reenacting a scene from a story, creating original plays, or learning how to convey emotion through movement and voice, these tools are helping build both artistic and academic skills.
Your support is not just helping fund supplies, it’s helping build confidence, creativity, and joy in learning. Thank you for investing in our students and believing in the power of the arts to make a difference.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Jenkins
Fueling Future Stars: Snacks for the J.O. Wilson Drama Players
Funded Apr 9, 2025On behalf of the entire cast and crew, thank you so much for your generous donation to our Snacks for Our Student Actors project. Your support helped fuel our young performers with the energy they needed during long rehearsals and show days.
Because of you, our students felt cared for and celebrated. Whether they were dancing, singing, or practicing lines, your kindness kept their spirits high and their bellies full. The joy and pride they felt on stage was made possible, in part, by your generosity behind the scenes.
Thank you for believing in the power of the arts and for helping us create a positive and memorable experience for our students. We’re incredibly grateful.”

A Clean Start: Keeping Our Classroom Fresh and Healthy!
Funded Apr 9, 2025A clean classroom is more than just a tidy space—it’s a foundation for healthy, focused, and joyful learning. At our school, we work hard to create an environment where every student feels safe, comfortable, and ready to thrive.
To help maintain this kind of space, we’re seeking essential cleaning supplies: a mop, carpet sweeper, disinfectant wipes, broom, and dustpan. These simple tools will go a long way in keeping our classroom clean, reducing the spread of germs, and encouraging students to take pride in their learning environment.
Your support makes all the difference. With your help, we can provide a safe, welcoming space where students can truly focus on what matters most—learning and growing together.
Thank you for helping us build a classroom we can all be proud of!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Jenkins

We strive to foster an appreciation of all forms of performing arts while empowering students through identifying and honing talents.
This project was initiated because our current performing space is limited. We have been continuously searching for creative ways to make it more accommodating for the large scale productions our performing arts students present for our school and community.
One of the ways we enhanced the performance space was through the lighting provided through support of this project. With the spot light, we are able to bring life to our performance space and enhance our show by being able to use lighting to convey mood and setting.

Funded Oct 27, 2022The mission of the Cardinal Drama Players is to educate students about the theatrical arts by engaging them in opportunities to view and attend varied performances and ultimately present a signature spring musical to the surrounding community. We strive to foster an appreciation of all forms of performing arts while empowering students through identifying and honing talents.
This project was initiated because I had no way to share videos of performances with students.
One of the ways students learn about acting, stage production, puppetry and other topics introduced in Performing Arts is by watching professionals and other students practicing and exercising those skills on video(s). Students also are able to view their own videos and creative works on the tv screen that was provided.
This project has enhanced the experience we are able to provide to students. Most importantly, it is a project that will have longstanding effects for our department.”
