I wanted to take a moment to share just how impactful your generosity has already been in our kindergarten classroom.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students have been using the new resources every single day. During centers, they race to choose the file folder games, these hands-on activities have quickly become a class favorite. It has been so exciting to watch them collaborate, problem-solve, and celebrate those little \"aha!\" moments together. During small-group instruction, the additional materials and games are giving my students meaningful extra practice that reinforces the skills we've introduced in whole-group lessons. It's helping them build confidence, and I can see it in the way they proudly share their learning.\r\n\r\nI wish you could have seen their faces when we first unpacked the materials. Their excitement filled the room, wide eyes, big smiles, and lots of \"Can we try it now?\" Your kindness truly brought joy into our classroom that day.\r\n\r\nAs we continue moving forward, the next step is helping students transition to using these materials independently during center time. Your contribution is helping them not only learn content, but also grow as independent, capable little learners.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and supporting their success. Several gasped, a few actually jumped up and down, and one little boy shouted, \"Is this all for US?!\" Their eyes were enormous as they crowded around the materials, gently touching the cash register keys and waving the Magic-e wands in the air like real magicians. That moment of pure wonder reminded me exactly why I wrote the grant, these are children who rarely get brand-new, beautiful learning tools, and seeing their joy made every hour of planning worth it.\r\n\r\nSince then, the resources have become the heartbeat of our classroom. The cash register is a particular favorite, even during indoor recess! Students practice making change and using polite customer language, math and social skills in one joyful package. The Touch & Read Blends & Digraphs Sentence Match and Magic-e Wand Card Set have transformed small-group phonics time; students beg to \"play wizard\" as they wave the wand and change \"cap\" into \"cape\" or \"pin\" into \"pine.\" The Write & Wipe Word Ladders and the Addition/Subtraction Puzzles are snatched up the second centers begin. Even our social-emotional learning has deepened, the books Our Class Is a Family, What If Everybody Did That?, and Personal Space Camp are read and reread during morning meeting, sparking rich discussions about kindness, community rules, and respecting bubbles of space that have noticeably reduced our daily conflicts.\r\n\r\nIn short, these materials haven't just been used—they've been loved into life. Every single student can tell you what it means to be a good classmate and why personal space matters. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts; because of your generosity, my 21 first-graders are growing into confident, caring, and curious learners who truly feel like our classroom is a family.","fullyFundedDate":1760305013708,"projectUrl":"project/empower-young-minds-books-organizers/9816040/","projectTitle":"Empower Young Minds: Books, Organizers, and Puzzles for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Betts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1628024_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535763268109","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-christinahopkins"},{"teacherId":10316495,"projectId":9839699,"letterContent":"When these materials arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled. The magnetic letters and putty were a huge hit during small groups, and I could instantly see how much more focused and engaged they were.\r\n\r\n Right now, we are using these items daily during literacy stations and independent work time. The flexible seating has helped students choose spots where they are the most successful, and the snacks have been beneficial for students who need a little boost throughout the day. The magnetic letters have made word work so much more hands-on and fun, especially for my students who learn best when they can move and manipulate materials.\r\n\r\n As we continue through the year, we will continue to use these resources during both reading and math lessons as the content becomes more challenging.
