The new resources have become a vital part of my small-group instruction, especially for the students working toward their IEP goals. Each day, I pull targeted groups to focus on literacy, decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills, and these materials have allowed me to give students exactly what they need—at their level, at their pace, and in a way that keeps them engaged.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite early moments with these resources was during a small-group session with a student who typically struggles to begin tasks independently. As soon as he saw the new tools laid out, he lit up and said, \"I know how to use this!\" That confidence carried him through the lesson, and by the end, he had not only met his goal for the day but exceeded what he had done in previous weeks. Moments like this have become more common since the materials arrived.\r\n\r\nWhen the box was first opened, the whole class was thrilled—but the students who benefit most from hands-on, scaffolded instruction were truly over the moon. They immediately gravitated toward the tactile pieces, colorful visuals, and engaging activities. It was clear that they understood these resources were made for them—to help them grow, succeed, and feel proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these materials will continue to support our ongoing IEP progress monitoring, small-group lessons, and targeted intervention cycles. My next steps include expanding our differentiated literacy stations so students can practice skills independently while I work closely with those who need direct instruction. Your support has created an environment where every student, regardless of learning challenges, has the tools to thrive.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students, believing in their potential, and making such meaningful learning possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760372487640,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-learners/9821997/","projectTitle":"Literacy Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blaier","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8773496"},{"teacherId":10313770,"projectId":9832915,"letterContent":"I have already begun using the materials that were donated! I have students loving the new library area, especially the soft rug. Students can now sit comfortably and look at a book. The soft pillows add a bonus calming effect. The new books are a big hit and we just read Gillbert the Ghost today! A student commented after and said, \"That was a great story!\"\r\n\r\nThe literacy activities relating to phonics are super useful. Students especially enjoy the mirror phonics activity. It is easy to use, and the students can do this activity independently which allows me to help others! Students are loving the new stickers they receive for completing work as well! The big sparkly stars are a class favorite!\r\n\r\nMy next steps are to continuing to build my library with new books! I believe getting books into the hands of young learners is vital! \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for supporting my kindergarten students!
