Every aspect of our working lives is saturated with technology. It is therefore vital for teachers to incorporate technology into the classroom in order to help students prepare for the future. I have filled our room with flexible seating options for students, creating an environment that is comfortable and conducive to learning. The next step is to provide students with opportunities for utilizing portable technology wherever they are in our cozy classroom. This is where YOU come in! My goal is to have 8 Chromebooks in our classroom. Chromebooks are fast, have long battery life, can be used with or without the internet, and will enable students to do a variety of activities, such as: - Use virtual microscopes to bolster science skills - Type their writing pieces - Design engaging presentations - Take AR quizzes - Learn about history with apps like TimeMaps - Visit our class’ weebly website - Take exit tickets on lessons - Work together during small group reading - Play multiplication games - Attend virtual field trips There are so many ways we can utilize Chromebooks in the classroom and I am excited to partner with you to make this dream of mine a reality!
