Taking into consideration the positive research results of the immersion programs, my students and their families they decided to take part in the Greek Immersion Program of our school. 50% of instruction is provided in Greek. The core academic content is split by subject area: math and science is taught in Greek language. My students have the opportunity to acquire Greek through the study of the above academic disciplines but this content-centered language learning is an effective way for them to develop both their interactive and their academic skills in Greek as a foreign language.
