Your support has provided us with new carpets that make our learning space brighter, cozier, and more welcoming for every student who walks through the door. The engaging reading game you helped fund is already motivating my students to practice important literacy skills in a fun and interactive way, and it's making such a positive difference in their confidence as readers.\r\n\r\nYour donation also supplied us with calming corner materials and fresh markers that bring our lessons to life each day. The calming corner resources give students a safe space to regulate their emotions, refocus, and return to learning ready to do their best. The new markers help us create engaging activities that spark creativity and support hands-on learning. Thank you for believing in my students and investing in their growth—you are truly helping them thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1760538061242,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-calm-and-engaging-space-for-s/9826779/","projectTitle":"Creating a Calm and Engaging Space for Second Grade Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chappell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7530169"},{"teacherId":10310336,"projectId":9823067,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has come alive with excitement, engagement, and so many meaningful learning moments. My MLL and Special Education students have been using the new resources every single day and they've quickly become some of the most loved tools in our room.\r\n\r\nOne of the first moments that truly stood out was when my students discovered the letter games and building activities laid out on the table. Their eyes lit up instantly. Several students who normally hesitate to jump into activities immediately sat down, picked up materials, and began exploring with huge smiles. One student who often struggles with transitions quietly said, \"This is fun... can we do more?\" It was the calmest, happiest start to our morning we've had in a long time.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the letter tiles and flashcards during small-group instruction to support letter recognition, vocabulary building, and phonics practice. The hands-on nature of the materials helps keep students focused while giving them multiple ways to interact with language. The building and calming activities have also become a key part of our regulation corner. Students now have a safe, engaging way to reset when they're overwhelmed, which has already led to smoother transitions and fewer emotional difficulties throughout the day.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve using these materials to support a new literacy unit centered on letter-sound correspondence, vocabulary development, and simple word building. We're also beginning a collaborative \"Build a Word\" station where students will work together using the letter tiles to create words connected to our weekly themes. This will give students a chance to practice social skills while strengthening their literacy foundations, exactly the kind of growth these materials were meant to support.\r\n\r\nYour kindness didn't just provide supplies, it opened up new opportunities for learning, confidence, and connection. Thank you for giving my students what they need to thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1760382444913,"projectUrl":"project/mll-spec-ed-stars/9823067/","projectTitle":"MLL & Spec Ed Stars!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Redden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10310336_orig.jpg?crop=500,500,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760366013571","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10310336"},{"teacherId":9478846,"projectId":8472004,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks for the wonderful gift of a new classroom carpet. Your generosity has truly brightened our learning space, and we are all so grateful.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the carpet, they were amazed and they didn't want to leave. It sparked a wave of excitement and curiosity that carried through the entire day.\r\n\r\nAs a kindergarten teacher, I spend a large part of our day teaching on the carpet, moving around to guide activities, read stories, and lead collaborative games. The carpet has made these moments even more special and effective. Some of the amazing aspects we've already noticed include:\r\n - Comfort and warmth underfoot, making long circle times feel cozy and inviting.\r\n- Noise reduction and improved focus, helping little ears hear and participate better\r\n- Comforting textures that energize us while also soothing during calm activities.\r\n - Clear learning zones and organization, with designated spaces for stories, group work, and quiet moments.\r\n- Easy, safe space for social interaction, encouraging turn-taking, cooperation, and inclusive play.\r\n - Durability and easy cleaning, which is perfect for a busy kindergarten classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for this extraordinary gift. It has made a meaningful difference in how we learn, play, and grow together every day. If you'd like, I'd be happy to share photos of the class enjoying the carpet or provide updates on our progress and activities.","fullyFundedDate":1723636486717,"projectUrl":"project/a-square-deal-a-new-rug-for-a-brighter/8472004/","projectTitle":"A Square Deal: A New Rug for a Brighter Future","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sullivan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9478846_orig.png?crop=326,326,x0,y1&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719426767271","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9478846"},{"teacherId":9889062,"projectId":9036836,"letterContent":"The new classroom carpet has made such a positive impact on our learning environment. The colorful design also supports our literacy work—students can practice letters, sounds, and the alphabet right on the carpet, making learning both interactive and fun. It's become a place where students gather for morning meetings, story time, and collaborative learning, fostering both structure and community.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful for this generous donation.
