The students really love playing Splash with the short vowel words and the file folder games. I have noticed an improvement with their decoding skills. \r\nMy students get really excited when I bring out the reading games for small group. It's a nice break for them to reinforce skills. They like playing the rollercoaster game a lot as well as snapping letters on CVC picture cards. The file folder games are enjoyable for a warm up. \r\nMy next steps for my kids are to continue building reading skills and use the materials I haven't used as they grow into them.
