Storyworks Jr. is a classroom subscription magazine. It provides the students with fiction, non fiction, poems and plays that correlate with the Common Core reading standards. Many of the stories and articles provide information that would not otherwise be readily available to the students. The program is easily differentiated for both struggling or advanced readers. Supplemental materials such as worksheets, extension articles and videos are also available for me to use with the students. It is an engaging magazine that will allow the students to really sink their teeth into. As a class that loves to read the Scholastic Storyworks Jr. series would be a great addition to really broaden their horizons and help build the background knowledge for their bright futures!
