We use these materials daily during literacy centers to help students build foundational reading skills such as letter recognition, phonics, sight words, and comprehension. One special moment was watching a group of students use the centers to match letters and sounds, then proudly read simple words they had built on their own. Seeing their confidence grow in real time has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new reading materials, they were beyond excited. Many immediately recognized the pieces and asked to try them right away. The hands-on nature of these centers made learning to read feel fun and approachable, especially for students who benefit from movement and tactile learning. Even my reluctant readers were eager to participate and stayed engaged longer than usual.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our next steps include using these reading centers to support small-group instruction and differentiate learning. Students will continue rotating through the centers as we strengthen phonics skills, practice sight words, and begin blending sounds into words. These resources allow us to meet students at their individual reading levels while fostering a love of reading. Thank you for giving my students such a strong start on their literacy journey.","fullyFundedDate":1760715086715,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-hands-on-literacy/9832253/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Hands-On Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Combs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7653524"},{"teacherId":10311300,"projectId":9826567,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in supporting our literacy project. When the new resources first arrived in our classroom, the atmosphere was electric. My students were absolutely overjoyed and excited to unbox the materials, and their eyes lit up as they realized these tools were just for them. It is a rare and special moment to see children so genuinely enthusiastic about educational tools, and that excitement has already translated into a newfound energy for our daily reading goals.\r\n\r\nCurrently, these resources have become a cornerstone of our daily center routine. My students are utilizing the new materials for independent practice of literacy skills, and they especially enjoy completing our various literacy centers. I recently watched a small group of students use the new phonics kits to build words together; the hands-on nature of the materials kept them focused and smiling the entire time. Seeing them take such pride in their independent work has been the highlight of my month, and it is all thanks to your contribution.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are eager to build on this momentum. Our next steps involve integrating these resources into a collaborative storytelling project, where students will use their strengthened literacy skills to write and illustrate their own short books. Your support has not only provided us with physical tools but has also boosted my students' confidence as they grow into lifelong readers. We are so grateful for your investment in our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1760660784028,"projectUrl":"project/elementary-literacy-fun/9826567/","projectTitle":"Elementary Literacy Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10311300"},{"teacherId":10313725,"projectId":9832813,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my excitement about the benefits of incorporating a larger, interactive screen for my students' phonics lessons and the use of student privacy screens to lessen distractions during the phonics lessons.\r\n\r\nAs an educator committed to enhancing and streamlining student learning and engagement, the larger, interactive screen has significantly impacted my classroom environment in a positive way. With the larger, interactive screen my phonics lessons are more dynamic and engaging. With the touchscreen capabilities and vibrant visuals, my students are interacting directly with letters, sounds, and words, fostering a hands-on learning experience that is both fun and educational.\r\n\r\nThe larger screen encourages classroom participation. My lesson planning and delivery have become infinitely more efficient. This efficiency allows more time for me to focus on individual student needs. I am confident that this investment will yield long-term benefits for my students' phonics development for years to come.\r\n\r\nI am also writing to share the positive impact that the introduction of student privacy screens has had on my small group environment. The primary advantage of implementing the privacy screens is their ability to reduce distractions allowing students to focus on their own work while still allowing me to check their work through the cut-out in the front of the screens. \r\n\r\nEvery student learns at their own pace and these privacy screens offer a discreet way to accommodate this. Students who require more time or need to revisit material can do so without feeling self-conscious. They also create a personal workspace for each student. \r\n\r\n\r\nThank you for considering both of my proposals and making them come true.","fullyFundedDate":1760810345659,"projectUrl":"project/bigger-interactive-screen-decoding-wor/9832813/","projectTitle":"Bigger Interactive Screen = Decoding Words Easier","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Murphy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10313725_orig.jpg?crop=1290,1290,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760543397034","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10313725"},{"teacherId":10311909,"projectId":9828406,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my project, Speaking, Sharing, and Shining: Building Communication and Literacy Skills! These visual supports are especially powerful for students who benefit from seeing and feeling how sounds are produced. The Speech Sound Handbook by Peachie Speechie gives me effective strategies, visuals, and word lists to individualize instruction and support progress across speech goals.\r\n\r\nThe learning games and materials you provided—such as the Ask & Answer® WH Bingo Game, sequencing board game, picture story cards, emotion cards, and WH-question flipbooks—allow students to practice comprehension, expressive language, sequencing, and social-emotional skills in a fun and motivating way. The Time Timer MOD helps my students build independence and focus by clearly showing how long they are expected to work or participate.\r\n\r\nFinally, the mini three-ring binders and sheet protectors allow me to create durable, organized therapy materials that can be reused year after year, ensuring your support continues to benefit many students over time.\r\n\r\nYour kindness helps my students find their voices, build confidence, and shine as communicators.
