The student care cart was incredibly well received by the students. In introducing it to them I went to all the classrooms that would be impacted and explained what it was, how to use it, and the purpose it would serve. Students were very interested to say the least. \r\n\r\nSo far we have been able to provide snacks and food to students who often struggle from food insecurity, provide toothbrushes to students who would need them, feminine care products to students who need them during the school day, and also saved a few hair emergencies when students hair ties broke in the middle of the day. \r\n\r\nAgain, I just want to share my deepest appreciation for donating and helping to support these students in need.","fullyFundedDate":1741886867373,"projectUrl":"project/student-care-cart/8953169/","projectTitle":"Student Care Cart","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tolkin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7918858_orig.jpg?crop=576,576,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1627079587084","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7918858"},{"teacherId":9892875,"projectId":9051868,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping me get clay and plaster. We decided to split the MesoAmerican Vessel project from the Jeffrey Gibson sculpture project. Here are some examples of vessels made by 6th grade, featuring a creature combined with a container of some sort. The Gibson project had students creating a sculpture of something that represented oneself, then creating an illustration representing the sculptures environment. I have to say, my classroom has never been so engaged. The students were discussing art, inquiring about other ways to achieve their goals, and showing off their finished work to other students! Some students did make masks as their sculptures which are not pictured as there is not a very safe location for them to be displayed.\r\n\r\nI wanted to thank each and every one of you for helping out with my lesson plan. The project was extremely successful. Many of my students do not have opportunities to make sculptures, so it was a blast.
