The math rug will give students an opportunity to move and visually use the chart to work on basic math fluency. Having another tool to engage them in their fact practice will hopefully encourage them to master these skills which will help in other areas like, fractions! The stand up desk and portable chairs allow students another area to work that is not confined to their desk and chair. The opportunity for them to find a comfortable work space will engage them to stay on task and persevere through complex math problems. My students would love these resources to create different work stations that will enhance focus and minimize behavioral distractions for all learners in our classroom.
