With the funding of Classroom Essentials and Basic Supplies for all Students, we're off to an exciting year of learning with all of the supplies we need!\r\n\r\nThe storage organizers for each student, individual clipboards, binders, scissors, magnetic whiteboards, dry erasers, pencils and pencil top erasers have been extremely useful on a daily basis. My first graders are using all of these items every day to stay organized and enhance their learning. \r\n\r\nMy first graders had an amazing time using the Play-Doh to mold various bones and organs as they learned about the human body during the month of October. The laminating sheets have been very useful when making sight word flashcards for my students that are durable and can go back and forth between school and home. \r\n\r\nThe mini notepads, pop bracelets, bookmarks and fidget tools have been used as incentives/rewards in our treasure chest in the classroom and all of these items have been a big hit! In addition, students have been looking forward to getting a birthday pencil and birthday crown for their birthday celebration at school. This is something my students really look forward to! \r\n\r\nAll of this has been possible thanks to you and your generous donation! The new storage solutions have made a big difference in helping children learn responsibility and independence. With clearly organized materials, students can easily access and put away supplies, which promotes decision-making, teamwork, and a sense of ownership in our classroom. A well-organized environment also reduces distractions and helps create a calm space where children can focus and feel secure.\r\nThe addition of a classroom timer has been a powerful tool in helping our preschoolers understand routines and transitions throughout the day. Young children often struggle with moving from one activity to another, and the timer provides a visual and concrete way for them to anticipate change. This has helped reduce anxiety and challenging behaviors while increasing cooperation and time-management skills. Students are learning to finish tasks, clean up, and transition with greater confidence and success because they can see how much time remains.\r\nLaminating sheets have allowed us to create durable, reusable learning materials that support hands-on learning. We are now able to make visual schedules, choice boards, tracing activities, and games that can be used repeatedly throughout the year. This not only saves resources, but it also allows for more individualized instruction as we tailor materials to meet the needs of each child. This gift is something that benefits every student from Pre-K through 5th grade.\r\n\r\nThese resources are going to transform the way we work in the classroom. Instead of worrying about paintings on the floor or projects getting ruined, students will now have the freedom to create with confidence. All of the items that were purchased through this project have created a calm, relaxing and comfortable environment for my students. \r\n\r\nCreating a soothing classroom environment has been very beneficial, helping to create a sensory calming space that encourages relaxation and focus. The \"Everyone is Welcome\" motivational bulletin board set has been a focal point in my classroom and many teachers have complimented this calm space when they enter my classroom. The \"Everyone is Welcome\" alphabet bulletin board and number line have been great additions to my classroom. In addition, the calming blue and light mauve bulletin board borders, along with the \"Everyone is Welcome\" heart border look great in the classroom. \r\n\r\nAs research has shown, calming colors like light shades of blue, pink and green in a classroom can significantly benefit students by promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving concentration, allowing them to focus better on academic tasks without feeling overwhelmed by visual stimulation. The calming colors on the storage rolling carts, bulletin boards, and walls have provided a very calm, comfortable classroom for my first graders!
