The headphones that we acquired are having a helpful impact on a daily basis. Whether it is to provide headphones for students composing music on their computers or using them to play the piano, they positively impact a student's opportunity for learning in music. Before we had these headphones, music class could be overwhelmingly loud with students using their computer speakers or built-in piano speakers. Now, each student is more able to focus on their own work which directly contributes to their musical growth. \r\n\r\nThe noise-cancelling headphones have also had a profound impact on students and how they experience music. Sometimes, the music room can get very loud, which makes it difficult for some students to focus or even collect their thoughts. The noise-cancelling headphones have been a perfect way for those students to fully participate despite their sensitivity to loud sounds. Furthermore, students love playing the new game TACOCAT! This game is great for cooperative game play and learning how to work in groups with peers. In addition to the physical game, I have also used the lamination sheets to make several other games more sustainable! With the lamination, games like UNO can be played over and over again! Finally, the playdoh is an excellent tool to enhance fine motor skills, participate in math and literacy activities, and cool down when emotions get a little too heightened! We love all of our new materials for play and learning in our classroom.\r\nIn addition to these great materials, I have been able to give our room a beautiful facelift! With the amazing border, bulletin board paper, lamination sheets, name tags, and book bins, our class looks organized and welcoming!
