Together, these materials promote active engagement, support academic growth, and contribute to long-term success in literacy.\r\nThese resources will have a lasting impact on both instruction and student achievement. I started using them the week that they came in! I invited classrooms into my space for a \"math lab\" activity. Students used the cuisenaire rods to cover up a specific area. They could use their flexibility with numbers and spatial reasoning to complete the task. The students loved the interactive nature of the task! They were intrigued by the materials too as they had never seen or used them before. \r\nI work with a small group of second graders for extra math support. They just recently learned about telling time to the nearest 5 minutes. They were so curious and excited when I pulled out the box of number line clocks. They appreciated having the ability to take apart all the different clock components and connect the concept of a number line to the tick marks on an analog clock. It really helped them understand the tick marks better!\r\nAgain, thank you for your generosity.
