Several of them asked, \"Is that for you, Mr. Clark?\" and when I told them it was so I could move around more and be on my feet with them throughout the day, they lit up. One student said, \"Now you can come help us faster!\"—which made me laugh, but it also hit home. The desk has already become a central part of our classroom, and the kids really appreciate how much more present and energized I can be throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on a collaborative math project that involves problem-solving in small groups, and the standing desk has made it easier for me to circulate, check in with each team, and offer real-time feedback. I'm able to quickly transition from the desk to student groups without the limitations of being seated behind a traditional desk. This small shift in the classroom setup has already made a big impact on student engagement. Eighth grade students are in the process right now where they are designing their game boards and cards for their original board games. They will soon create rules to follow and directions for how to play their games. Once that is finalized, all sheets of rules will be professionally laminated using your pouches. \r\n\r\nIn addition, 6th graders will soon be utilizing the glue sticks as they become independent learners. They will begin their Genius Hour projects and the art supplies will aid in their display boards.\r\n\r\nFinally, the snacks you sent to us were loved by the many students who come to Games and Strategy Club at HALS.
