The money was used to purchase a variety of supplies to either help with social emotional learning or with making my science classroom more Hands-On. \r\n\r\nI have a lot of students with ADHD that need to move around in order to focus on science. With this money I was able to purchase wiggle chairs and rubber bands for desk chairs for students to push on with their feet while they learned. These items have been used frequently by both my 9th and 11th grade students throughout the year.\r\n\r\n My favorite purchase has been the new whiteboard on wheels that I can move around the room and even take into the chemistry lab. My school provided whiteboard is very scratched up and difficult for students to read, so this brand new whiteboard has been very helpful especially as I started teaching my 11th graders physics. Being able to clearly see the math that I'm doing on the board has helped a lot compared to previous years. \r\n\r\nWith the money I have also purchased additional lab supplies like mini whiteboards that I used to teach chemistry concepts ( example in photo section), and play review games with my students. I also purchased a star globe for teaching astronomy and some materials for teaching the concepts of energy. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping my classroom to become an even more safe inviting space where students are encouraged to explore and learn about the world around them.","fullyFundedDate":1707490389504,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-social-emotional-health-and-a/8195676/","projectTitle":"Supporting Social Emotional Health and Academic Achievement","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ferris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9459495_orig.png?crop=483,483,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1707163521060","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9459495"},{"teacherId":9459250,"projectId":8897743,"letterContent":"The students were \"Wowed\" by the sheep brain dissection activity.
