Your donations helped us to keep our pencils organized and our small groups running smoothly! \r\n\r\nOur class uses \"Pencil Wars\" to keep our supplies organized. Each student receives 7 pencils each week in a special pencil case. These pencils are sharpened and ready to go, so we don't have to worry about sharpening any pencils and interrupting any learning- we always have a pencil ready to go! Each Friday the pencil cases are collected, and pencils are sharpened. If a pencil case comes back with 7 pencils, the student also receives a small treat. If not, the pencils are replenished so the student is ready for the week on Monday. Before this project, we were using ziplock bags as our pencil cases- affordable, but not necessarily something that will withstand a lot of wear and tear. Our new pencil cases are durable and can also hold our dry erase markers and highlighters, as well as our pencils- a win-win! \r\n\r\nThe stools are helping us to get more learning time in each day. Last year, there was a lot of wasted instructional time and a LOT of noise as we had to move chairs from desks to the small group tables for each small group lesson- multiple times during each small group block, as students transitioned between independent and small group work. Now that we have stools, these stools stay at the teacher tables, which means less time transitioning and more time learning. It also means we can fit more students at each table! Another win-win!","fullyFundedDate":1755701732894,"projectUrl":"project/take-a-seat-grab-a-pencil-lets-learn/9616661/","projectTitle":"Take a Seat, Grab a Pencil, Let's Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Larson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2226085_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1543280489422","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2226085"},{"teacherId":7827042,"projectId":8206603,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well.
