Say the picture aloud and hear the sounds. The students then write it out on a paper and add their own picture for reinforcement. \r\n Since their skills are varied, this serves as a quick assessment for me to revisit with them in another instructional lesson as needed. \r\nStudents have been enjoying working together on fun activities and we have only been in school for less than 2 weeks \r\nWe are so grateful for the generous gift you have shared that will make this year a learning year. My students were incredibly excited when they saw the new crawl-through tunnels in our gym. They immediately wanted to explore them and challenge themselves to crawl through, navigate around, and work together. What may seem like a simple piece of equipment has created so many opportunities for my students to practice gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and spatial awareness while having fun. The tunnels have been especially meaningful during Adaptive Physical Education, allowing students with different abilities to participate and experience success alongside their peers.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using the tunnels in our physical education lessons, my students will be challenged to create their own obstacle courses and come up with new ways to use the equipment. This can be a challenge for students so I was able to send home facts to practice at home as well as monitor fact fluency mastery at school. \r\n\r\nWe also have been having many days of indoor recess due to the cold weather in New England. Having extra paper around is a great way to encourage creativity for projects that these students have done a great job at coming up with.
