Having access to an organized space will help make learning a bit easier. It will foster the value of being responsible for their own materials, which is an important skill that they will carry with them through their school careers. It will also encourage the students to take ownership of their classroom, and help keep it neat and clean. Everything will have a place, and every place will have a thing. Desk spaces will be free of clutter and papers spilling out. The organized work environment will encourage students to stay focused on the task at hand, and they'll be able to find what they need, when they need it, whether in small group or working independently somewhere in the room. The Literacy organizer will help us keep track of papers for parent review. The 3-tiered shelves will help us store unused materials for a clear workspace.
