Many of my students are still figuring out what genres and stories truly capture their attention, and not every child has fallen in love with reading just yet. Having access to a variety of books has given my students the opportunity to explore different genres, characters, and adventures and find the stories that speak to them.\r\nAlready, my students have been especially excited about Kwame's Magic Quest. They love the magic, suspense, and adventure, and they are eager to find out what will happen next as Kwame works to help save his school. Seeing students excitedly talk about a book, recommend it to a friend, or choose to pick it up and read on their own is exactly the kind of growth I hope to inspire.\r\nThese books are doing more than adding to our classroom library—they are helping my students discover themselves as readers and showing them that there is a book out there for everyone.
