I believe that hands on learning is more impactful than just reading and completing worksheets about the eye. Our third graders will be able to dissect a cow's eye this fall with the supplies. They will get to see the lens, cornea, optic nerve and so much more. This is their first experience of dissecting an animal part. It is important for them to have good equipment and a good experience with it. \r\n I remember my first time teaching about it and I am still impressed by all the different parts of the eye and how impressive the human body is! \r\nHaving these supplies will enable the students to have gloves the correct size and sharp scissors.
