Because of your generosity, my 5th grade students now have vertical whiteboards that allow them to engage in math in a completely new way.\r\nThese boards are part of a structure from the book Building Thinking Classrooms, and they've truly transformed how my students learn. Instead of sitting quietly and working alone, they now stand side-by-side, collaborate in small groups, and tackle rich math problems together. The whiteboards give them the freedom to try, erase, revise, and try again—without fear. It's not just about the math skills (though those are growing too)—it's about the thinking.\r\nOne student recently looked up from a complex problem and said, \"This is hard, but it's actually kind of fun.\" That's the kind of mindset your gift helps create. Every day, I see students who used to hesitate now picking up markers with confidence. They're challenging themselves, sharing ideas, and seeing themselves as capable thinkers.\r\nThank you for believing in the power of hands-on learning and for investing in tools that make thinking visible. Your support is building more than just problem-solvers—it's building confidence, teamwork, and joy in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1752671596994,"projectUrl":"project/whiteboards-to-spark-thinking-and-collab/9275904/","projectTitle":"Whiteboards to Spark Thinking and Collaboration in Every Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Markson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10005126"},{"teacherId":9811181,"projectId":8894090,"letterContent":"I appreciate your kindness in donating to my classroom. We use bins each day for the students to hold their materials which include their books, workbooks, writing journnals, folders and anything else needed for the day. I teach literacy and switch classes halfway through the day which means I have 50 students in total. I originally bought cardbaord bins at the beginning of the school year because the plastic bins were so incredibly expensive. However, they quickly started to fall apart and I was spending time every day taping them back together! This is where you came in and donated to my classroom to buy plastic bins. They've been a game changer. We have bins that don't fall apart and students are not losing their things! On top of this, I can use these bins for YEARS! So, this will benefit hundreds of students throughout the years.
