The Nurses Nook project. Due to the fact that your contributions are for minors and they are health related concerns, I am not legally allowed to show you pictures of these supplies being used. But let me share in a different way. \r\n\r\nIn the clinic, with your support, I have been able to assist students with their personal hygiene, medical and mental health needs. This allows them to get the care they need and not have to go home to get care. This means more time in the classroom learning. \r\n\r\nI am MOST grateful for the chair you donated! ( I had a hard cafeteria chair initially, which was not very inviting at all.) This has been a game changer! I am new to this school so I did not know what prior years were like. The principal, office manager, office secretary and others have all talked to me about how much busier the nurses office is this year. The secretary said that I have seen more people in 2 months than the last 5 years combined! I believe a HUGE part of it is the chair. It is inviting! Students come to talk with me and sit for a moment. During this time to connect I often identify needs not so easily seen in a school day... like mental health, lack of resources, social difficulties, attendance issues, grieving, family issues and the list goes on. \r\n\r\nI am truly grateful! Thank you for recognizing that for a student to be healthy and successful, they need a large umbrella of support that may start in my office but extends to many resources. I get the pleasure of connecting with these students, identifying their needs and mobilizing resources to support them in any way they need. Your support makes my work possible and our school community stronger.","fullyFundedDate":1758859452725,"projectUrl":"project/nurses-nook-first-class-first-aid-too/9701875/","projectTitle":"Nurse's Nook - First Class First Aid Tools for Schools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Van Tine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10250410"},{"teacherId":9299935,"projectId":9562760,"letterContent":"When our snacks and heart models arrived, my EMT students were so excited! The heart models have completely transformed our anatomy lessons students can now trace blood flow, identify chambers, and understand how heart failure happens in real life. One student said, \"It finally makes sense now that I can hold it in my hands!\"\r\n\r\nThe snacks have also made a huge difference. Many students come to class early or straight from other programs, and having something to eat helps them stay focused and ready to learn. It's a small gesture that shows them they're cared for and supported.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll use the models during our cardiac and respiratory emergencies unit while continuing to fuel our learning days with snacks. \r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, my students are engaged, focused, and learning like future EMTs!","fullyFundedDate":1758230661683,"projectUrl":"project/support-future-emts/9562760/","projectTitle":"Support Future EMTs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wilson Ramos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9299935_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695643662454","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9299935"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30919","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":468,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.4,"schoolId":30919,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Career Education Center Early College of Denver on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Career Education Center Early College of Denver","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/denver-public-school-district-1/cec-middle-college-of-denver/30919"}
