We had a reduced budget and I was unable to buy some of the items that get used up in art. Student would ask to work on scratch board paper, or work 3D with clay, or just to be able to use a black marker.\r\nI usually give 6th graders a sketchbook and for many it is their first ever sketchbook. This donation allows me to keep that tradition. Their faces when they realize it's theirs to keep is so special. You made that happen! \r\nArt can be done with little or no supplies and some students relate to kot having anything. When I can say, yes let me get that for you, they get excited about creating. Having a little extra or just enough is game changing. I appreciate you so much.","fullyFundedDate":1778207030072,"projectUrl":"project/finish-strong/9982398/","projectTitle":"Finish Strong","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carrasco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7429566"},{"teacherId":10104960,"projectId":9524949,"letterContent":"The organizational materials purchased for our STEM Lab have been extremely beneficial in creating a classroom that is more organized, efficient, and accessible for students.\r\n\r\nThe shelf label holders have allowed us to clearly identify where STEM materials and supplies belong. This has made it much easier for students to independently locate the materials they need and, just as importantly, return those materials to the correct location when they are finished. With multiple grade levels using the STEM Lab throughout the day, having clearly labeled storage has made transitions and clean-up much quicker and more manageable.\r\n\r\nThe clipboard storage stand has provided a designated location for our classroom clipboards. Students can quickly access them when they need to record observations, complete project work, collect data, or work in different areas of the lab. Having one organized location also makes it easier to account for materials and keep the classroom ready for the next class.\r\n\r\nThe 27-slot classroom mailbox and literature organizer has been especially helpful for organizing papers, project materials, and resources. The individual compartments allow materials to be separated and easily located rather than becoming mixed together or misplaced.\r\n\r\nThe mesh zipper pouches with label pockets have also become a valuable organizational tool. STEM materials can be grouped together, labeled, and stored as sets, allowing students to quickly grab what they need for an activity and return the entire set when they are finished. This has reduced the amount of time spent searching for individual supplies and has made clean-up significantly more efficient.\r\n\r\nOverall, these purchases have helped establish organizational systems that encourage students to take greater responsibility for our shared STEM space. Students are able to quickly find materials, complete activities, and return supplies to their designated locations. This means less instructional time is lost to searching for materials and clean-up, leaving more time for hands-on STEM learning, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1755692011586,"projectUrl":"project/stem-lab-essentials/9524949/","projectTitle":"STEM Lab Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10104960_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y356&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1788982689066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/k-6-stemlab"},{"teacherId":9637906,"projectId":10517566,"letterContent":"This project has provided my sixth grade students with snacks to have when they have none. These simple additions have made a big difference in how smoothly our labs run and how engaged the students are during hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were so excited to set up their lab spaces! They immediately noticed how the hula hoops helped keep each group's supplies neat and easy to find. The clipboards have become a favorite—they love being able to move around the room, observe, measure, and take notes without being tied to a single table.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment came during our recent engineering challenge. Students worked together to design and test structures, and thanks to the new setup, they could easily manage their materials and document their ideas on the go. It was wonderful to see them problem-solving, collaborating, and taking ownership of their learning space.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these tools as we begin a new series of STEM challenges focused on force and motion. I can't wait to see the creative ways my students continue to use the hula hoops and clipboards to organize their thinking and make discoveries.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our STEM Lab and helping my students explore, create, and learn in such an engaging way!","fullyFundedDate":1754326283536,"projectUrl":"project/stem-lab-getting-it-done/9522878/","projectTitle":"STEM LAB: Getting It Done","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10104960_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y356&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1788982689066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/k-6-stemlab"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43310","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":159,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":63.2,"schoolId":43310,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Del Norte Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Del Norte Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/del-norte-school-district-c-7/del-norte-elementary-school-underwood/43310"}
