We use them during small-group instruction and partner activities to practice letter sounds, blending, decoding, and building new words. The hands-on materials give students opportunities to connect sounds and words with meaningful practice while also building their English vocabulary and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were excited to explore them and eager to begin using them. I saw students who can sometimes feel hesitant when reading in English become more willing to participate, take risks, and practice with their classmates. The engaging resources have helped create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and trying again.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue strengthening foundational phonics skills while helping students transfer those skills into their reading and writing. We will use the resources to practice new sounds and vocabulary, decode unfamiliar words, and build confidence when reading independently.
