Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to purchase many books for our classrooms at my school. With tight budgets, books are the last priority. Many of the books we do have are not current. I believe A Long Walk to Water will not only resonate with my students, but it will also help to instill a love of reading. The story, A Long Walk to Water, will really connect with many of the students in my classroom. It will also make them feel not alone, believe that there is hope, and make them realize how good books create a love of reading.
