This technology has quickly become an essential part of our classroom, allowing students to share their work with the whole class in real time. Instead of only seeing a teacher model an example, students can now take the lead by showing their strategies, explaining their thinking, and learning from one another. This has created more opportunities for student-led sharing and instruction, which makes the learning process more collaborative and engaging for everyone!\r\n\r\nOur students are especially excited about the chance to have their work projected and celebrated. For many, it has boosted confidence and encouraged them to take ownership of their learning. I've already noticed students who are typically more reserved raising their hands to share, knowing that their classmates will get to see and learn from their efforts. Because of your donation, our office has become a welcoming and calming environment where students and staff can work through conflicts in a safe and supportive way. From the moment students first stepped in, their reactions said it all—wide eyes, deep breaths, and smiles as they noticed the comfortable seating, soothing decorations, and peaceful atmosphere. \r\n\r\nWe've already seen incredible moments happen in this space. Just last week, two students who had been struggling with a long-standing conflict finally sat down together and had a real, open conversation. With the relaxed setting and the right support, they were able to listen to each other and come to an understanding in a way that never would have happened in a tense classroom environment. Moments like these are happening more and more, thanks to the changes you made possible.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are expanding our conflict resolution practices by incorporating more restorative circles and peer mediation sessions. Our goal is to empower students with the skills they need to navigate challenges with empathy and accountability—lessons that will serve them far beyond middle school. Your generosity has truly made a difference, and I am so grateful for your support in building a culture of understanding and growth in our school. I apologize for not responding sooner. Being a special education teacher has a lot of hats to fill and responsibilities. I had to honor the students and responsibilities at the school before I honored anything else.\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new materials, especially the chairs and they use the chairs all the time. My flex seating in my classroom now is one of the most sought by all of my students in and outside of my co-taught classrooms. By being able to provide different seating options to my students, they are able to feel comfortable enough to focus on the learning of math instead of other aspects. Thank you for that piece.\r\nFor my next project, I am looking at getting another iPad for my classroom as I want to be able to test students using the iPad rather than the paper assessments because I believe it would make it easier for me and the student if we could do it on the iPad rather than paper.","fullyFundedDate":1723165583654,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-public-schools-special-educat/8570143/","projectTitle":"First Year Public Schools Special Education Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9631215_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723002622396","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9631215"},{"teacherId":9297202,"projectId":8567631,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well.
