Overhead lighting in schools is linked to several things that impede student growth. By using light sources with more warm and subdued light, my classroom will transform from a space that feels sterile and disconnected into a space that feels safe, alive, and like so much more than just three walls and a white board. Students will learn throughout the year in a space that will feel comfortable and relaxing from the moment they step into space at the beginning of the year until their very last time stepping foot in my classroom.
