We use the floor seating daily during small-group instruction, independent reading, and partner work. One special moment was during our literacy centers—students chose a floor chair, settled in with a book, and stayed focused for longer periods than ever before. The flexible seating allowed them to feel comfortable while still staying engaged in learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new chairs, their faces lit up with excitement! They were eager to try them out and immediately asked when they could use them. Having seating that fits their bodies and learning styles has helped them feel more independent and responsible for their learning choices.\r\n\r\nThese chairs are now an important part of our classroom environment as we continue working on reading comprehension and collaborative activities. Next, students will use the floor seating during guided reading groups and math discussions, where they can comfortably share ideas, listen to peers, and build confidence.
