The donations you provided helped us get a lot of great supports for our sensory room. The fiber optic light is a huge hit! The kiddos call it the \"hair light\" because it looks and feels like colorful hair! We use it daily. The kiddos also really like the jelly fish light. It is really calming to watch. One of the most favorite items are the sensory spinner lights. The kids call these\"flower lights\" as they look like rainbow flowers when they are on. They are used multiple times a day during sensory rotations. We use sensory lights when lights are off to support a calm and regulated body. The laminating paper is constantly being used. We laminate so many pictures for visual supports, schedules and social stories. Laminating visual supports helps to preserve the length as well as use velcro on the back for quick use and keep them germ free with so many little hands touching them. Our sensory room is used by lots of kiddos all day long, the wipes are used daily to clean our supplies and table tops, which helps minimize the spread of germs. The kleenex is always needed in our sensory room. It helps to keep little noses clean and drip free. Thank you again for your support. Families are now able to see their child's progress and classroom updates more consistently, which has strengthened the home-school connection.\r\n\r\nThe soundproof headphones have also made a big impact on my classroom. They help my students stay calm and focused at different points throughout the day, especially during independent work or times when they need a quiet moment to reset. Several students use them to block out background noise so they can better concentrate on learning.
