I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations, which enabled me to purchase a class set of *Ghost* by Jason Reynolds for my students. Your support has profoundly impacted my classroom and made a meaningful difference in the lives of my students. \r\n\r\nIn our school community, representation and equity are central to creating a space where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to learn. *Ghost* provides a powerful story that resonates with many of my students, reflecting experiences and identities they may not often see in the books they read. Through this story, they not only explore themes of resilience, belonging, and self-discovery but also see themselves as important contributors to their communities and the world. \r\n\r\nYour contribution has helped ensure that all students have access to high-quality, culturally relevant literature. By removing barriers to access, you have empowered my students to engage deeply with their learning and recognize their potential in a way that fosters both academic and personal growth. \r\n\r\nI have already seen the excitement and curiosity this book has sparked in my classroom. Watching students connect with the characters and discuss their perspectives with enthusiasm has been incredibly rewarding. These moments are a direct result of your generosity. \r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students' education and in a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Your kindness and commitment to educational equity are deeply appreciated by both me and my students.","fullyFundedDate":1728836716530,"projectUrl":"project/diverse-voices-bright-futures-give-mid/8864842/","projectTitle":"Diverse Voices, Bright Futures: Give Middle-Schoolers a Culturally Relevant Book","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Zurowski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9797243_orig.jpg?crop=1991,1991,x0,y398&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728787852443","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9797243"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4217","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":504,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":12,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"28.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.5,"schoolId":4217,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Montalvin Manor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Montalvin Manor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/west-contra-costa-unified-school-district/montalvin-manor-elementary-school/4217"}
