Hello, I am teaching preschoolers with disabilities at a new classroom and am VERY excited to create a supportive environment where my students grow through taking risks, making mistakes, and learning to learn. Our rigorous curriculum is anchored on a strong foundation of science and art, but we go beyond standards to instill a true love of learning. Our language rich classroom values good literature and often uses it as springboard for Mathematics, Science and Social Studies investigations. The uniqueness and worth of each child and his/her ability to think independently are nurtured not only by emphasis on authentic child-created art but also by in-depth dives into child-chosen projects and investigations that integrate various academic areas in a way that's relevant to each child.... and fun! Thank you for supporting our future scientists, engineers, writers and painters!
