For example, I have one student who has had significant gaps in the time he has been in school. As a result, he is reading at a kindergarten level in a 5th grade classroom. The Seesaw Learning Platform has given him the opportunity to improve significantly in his reading. He works through lessons that I have created that support him to learn to read. Absent other resources and other interventions at our school, this is the only way that he will improve this year. He is able to use quality time during class doing these assignments which specifically target his needs.\r\n\r\nAnother students was out of school for 2 years given her family's relocation to another country. She is capable of reading, but just needed targeted support. The differentiated lessons that I was able to offer on Seesaw has been tremendously useful in helping her to fill in her areas of lost learning. \r\n\r\nThe class in general uses Seesaw to improve their reading fluency- by reading with the microphone provided. The students also use Seesaw to improve their speaking skills by explaining the content on each of the pages. Seesaw is an amazing tool which helps me target and design lessons for all the students in my class. It allows me to design advanced lessons as well as lessons to support English Language Learners and other students who need specific interventions.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your support. Your support allows me to offer my best teaching to all my students.","fullyFundedDate":1755738381580,"projectUrl":"project/schoolwide-seesaw/9606840/","projectTitle":"Schoolwide Seesaw","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Levine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp135656_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1459294001849","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/beth-levine"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4217","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":504,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":12,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"28.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.5,"schoolId":4217,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Montalvin Manor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Montalvin Manor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/west-contra-costa-unified-school-district/montalvin-manor-elementary-school/4217"}
