Because of your kindness, students across all grade levels now have the opportunity to experience a fun, active, and inclusive game during outdoor play. Gaga Ball has quickly become one of the most popular activities on our playground, and it has transformed the way our students interact, move, and build friendships.\r\n\r\nYour donation has provided our students with more than just a new game. Gaga Ball encourages every child to get moving, no matter their athletic ability, and helps them find joy in physical activity. The game is fast-paced but accessible, creating an opportunity for children to play together. We've already seen how this new activity helps students learn important skills like teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, all while they're laughing, running, and cheering each other on. It's not just exercise—it's an engaging way to build confidence, cooperation, and community.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, recess and outdoor time now feel more energized and fun. Gaga Ball gives students a healthy outlet for their energy and provides a space where everyone feels welcome to participate. The benefits of this activity extend beyond the playground: the teamwork and problem-solving skills students are practicing in the Gaga Ball pit carry over into the classroom, helping them collaborate more effectively and treat one another with respect. Your gift has made a lasting impact by supporting not only physical health but also social and emotional growth for every grade level at our school.","fullyFundedDate":1746490114004,"projectUrl":"project/gaga-ball/9163718/","projectTitle":"GaGa Ball","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hague","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp498904_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597204656738","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jhague"},{"teacherId":9432427,"projectId":9319051,"letterContent":"My students and I are so pleased with the new rug. The colors are bright and cheerful. My kindergarten students can all fit on the rug. \r\nWe use the rug every morning for reading time. Students can read alone or in groups. We also use the rug for story time. About 75% of our day is spent on the rug. We use it for exercise time. Because it is a rectangle, we can also use the edges for community circle.\r\nThe floors at school only get cleaned once or twice a year so this rug has made our classroom much more user friendly for young students. Our room has a sloth theme so the new bean bag chairs fit right in. Along with the folding chairs, they gave us new comfy places to read. Now more of us can enjoy reading in different places around the room.\r\n We were even more excited to see the owl boxes that are going to be put up in our garden. We've never done a project like this in our previous classes. And since we love going to the garden, it was so neat that we could combine what we're doing in our regular class with our garden. We had a few parents volunteer to build them so I was able to send them home for them to do with their children. After that we painted them! Each student got to paint one of the sides of the owl boxes and make them look beautiful. It really was a team effort. I hope you get to see them on the photos we posted. \r\n Pretty soon, we will be putting them throughout our garden to see if we can invite owls to make their home in them. We also received owl pellets from your donations so we will be dissecting them to learn more about owls and what they eat. Thank you so much for giving to my project. We are the grateful for the many opportunities we have been given. My students were overjoyed to receive The Wild Robot Series. We read The Wild Robot as a class novel study and as a culminating event we went to see The Wild Robot at the movie theater. My students were engaged with the reading of the book and did not want to stop when our allotted time was up for the day. After we read the book together as a class, my students were eager to read more of the series. I am using a wheel of names to spin and choose the next student to read the The Wild Robot Escapes and The Wild Robot Protects. I only have a few copies of those two books, but the students are reading them so fast they are being passed on very quickly. To see my students so excited to read brings joy to my heart. Even my students that typically don't like to read are eager to read these books. This would not have been possible without the generous donations to my project. These tools have already begun to transform our classroom into a more dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Your support not only met a financial need but also demonstrated your belief in the power of education and the importance of meeting students where they are.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these resources, I've seen remarkable changes in my students. The fidgets and wiggle cushions are helping them channel their energy productively, while the chair bands and rocking chair feet provide the movement and flexibility they need to stay focused. Students who once struggled to sit still during lessons are now able to participate more fully and confidently. It's amazing to see how a small adjustment to their learning environment can make such a big difference in their overall experience. Your contribution has directly impacted their ability to succeed, and I can't thank you enough for that.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and supporting their growth. Your kindness reminds us that we are part of a larger community that values education and the well-being of all children.
