My students love books and I read a story to them every day. We have a classroom library that they use daily. This gift will add new books to our classroom library. My students are always excited to read new books. Having new books with beautiful illustrations will keep them engaged in reading, and encourage them to keep making progress to reading independently. I know that representation matters, and I was careful to pick books that my students can relate to--that encourage kindness, inclusion, and self- love. Having these new books in class will enhance their learning and motivate them to keep reading.
