When the boxes were handed out, the entire class actually cheered! It was a joyful moment that set a positive tone for the year and reminded me how something so simple can make such a big difference.\r\n\r\nThe students immediately took pride in their new materials. Each child now keeps their pencils, pen, colorful scissors, and surfboard bookmark neatly stored in their box. Because my students sit at long tables, they enjoy lining up their labeled boxes in a tidy row each morning. We even have a table captain at each group who helps ensure everyone's supplies remain organized, cared for, and clearly labeled.\r\nHaving the supplies they need has given my students a sense of preparedness, confidence, and belonging. For many of them, the worry or embarrassment of not having materials has disappeared completely. Instead, they start each day ready to learn, participate, and take ownership of their workspace.\r\n Your generosity has created not just organized tables, but excited, motivated fourth graders who feel equipped and valued. Thank you for helping us start strong—your support truly made a meaningful impact in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758208064460,"projectUrl":"project/starting-strong-supplies-for-success/9511056/","projectTitle":"Starting Strong: Supplies for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8467654"},{"teacherId":10271133,"projectId":9734469,"letterContent":"All the sensory items (bubble tubes, fish tube, volcano tubes, smart lamp) were purchased for our school's sensory room, which has transformed the way some students deal with big emotions, behaviors, and self-regulation breaks. We have seen an increase in students who are asking for a break in the sensory environment to rest. Students themselves ask to go to the sensory room before they engage in disruptive behaviors or are over stimulated by emotions they themselves do not understand. Students are engaging in self regulatory activities that redirect their mindset. They often take 10-15 min and return to class ready to learn after taking a break. We are seeing an increase in students' ability to communicate social-emotional needs and vocabulary that in the past were not part of their daily vocabulary. Often we have students play with the sensory fidget toys and lighting to help them focus on the activity at hand to redirect and rest their mindset. \r\nWhen the sensory room became more available to students I started to notice that even our parents who are on campus have used the sensory room and its items for themselves. What is amazing is this space that was intended for the students became a space that is now accessible for students, parents and staff to use and find calmness. Parents and students alike are finding that this space can be translated to a home environment. Parents are asking me where items were purchased so that they can replicate sensory space at home. This space has opened the door to the parents and children alike able to connect with finding a way to calmness and the vocabulary needed to address the stresses that many of our families face. \r\nYour donations have transformed the lives of not only our students but our parents. Our staff often goes into the sensory space for a break to get ready for the next activity or the day. We are so lucky to have a sensory space that is accessible to all on campus. Your kindness has transformed our campus positively, but more than anything it has redefined how we as a school address the mental health needs of our community. Know that your donation has impacted families, not just individuals. Thank you for investing in our students, families, and school community.","fullyFundedDate":1759657042491,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-space-transformation/9734469/","projectTitle":"Sensory Space Transformation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Marisol","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10271133_orig.jpg?crop=1397,1397,x285,y339&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758586008171","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10271133"},{"teacherId":3791706,"projectId":9513920,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my class.
