My students will be participating in the Global Read Aloud this year, a global reading project that has connected more than 500,000 students on 6 continents since its inception in September 2010. For the project, I would like each one of my students to have his/her own copy of The Wild Robot, the book we will be reading this year. Giving low income students access to books helps instill in them a love for reading. After the Global Read Aloud, I will encourage each student to keep their book or share it with a friend who wants to read it.
