The handheld microscopes have transformed how my students use microscope technology for learning.\r\n\r\nEach student was able to easily plug a microscope into their iPad and project what they were viewing onto their iPad screen. I was easily able to identify if students were accurately viewing their specimen. With a traditional microscope, I'd have to look into the eye piece of each microscope to ensure students actually found what they needed to. \r\n\r\nThe portability of the handheld microscope is incredible. Students are able to easily work outside, looking at specimens. There is no need to pick plants or bring specimens inside when students are able to just hold the microscope up to the plant or other specimen.\r\n\r\nOur principal came in for an observation while students were using these tool and he was very impressed with their engagement and use of authentic tools for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1763614575667,"projectUrl":"project/digital-views-of-the-microscopic-world/9902552/","projectTitle":"Digital Views of the Microscopic World","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vogt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4364001_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1489883099132","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/karenvogt"},{"teacherId":8009875,"projectId":9953889,"letterContent":"We now have complete class sets of calculators.
